A native of Bordeaux, I enjoyed drawing from an early age and in particular all forms of craft. At 18 1/2 with my diploma of Applied Arts in my pocket, I worked in advertising as a freelance artist. Following the birth of my children, one day I was strolling through the cuddly toys department of a store, I saw and fell in love with miniature teddy bears. Initially I bought them for the children but ended up collecting them for myself. "Since then I have realized that the world of the Bear is not only reserved for children!" However, collecting them was no longer enough, I had to begin creating them. The first were in Fimo *, I had fun miniaturising them . The later ones I created as cuddly bears. Such a delicate task can be quite difficult, but the individually created bear is well worth the effort for both creator and recipient. Finally my last creations gave me the idea of making la Petite Fabrique de Nathalie. They are made of wool "piqué". It is a technique which makes it possible "to carve" wool.
Each bear cub has a "birth" certificate with his creation number, his date of design and his name. They are One Of A Kind and often put in a scene. The finished product is presented in a windows pocket, with tissue paper and it's certificated. If you want adopt one, saw "Each one has a name" |
